A Sustainable School's Cafeteria: Postane
Postane is more than a café—it's a garden, a fair trade shop, a library, an exhibition space, an auditorium, and a hub for forward-thinking projects, all nestled in the heart of Istanbul with Galata Tower in view. From urban gardening sessions and ethical shopping to thought-provoking talks and film screenings, Postane cultivates a community of active citizens and changemakers. For me, it’s a local alma mater where inspiration, learning, and connection naturally grow.

Just delivered: Rockstar Bakers
This time, Rockstar Bakers came to me—with croissants, pain au chocolat, award-winning focaccia, and more delivered straight to my door. I keep them refrigerated for whenever the craving strikes, baking them fresh at home. A croissant stocked in the fridge is a happiness guarantee, and Rockstar Bakers might just be my new front-runner for The Croissant, rivaling even OKJA.

Grab-and-go Haute Cuisine
After nearly two weeks away, my cravings pull me back to King CookDaily, a vibrant kitchen where flavors from around the world—especially Southeast Asia—take center stage. I can’t help but order the Pad Thai most times, but today, I convince my friends to try the Indian-style yellow curry, the Jerk Bowl, and Japanika. We kick things off with crispy spring rolls, and together, we savor the colorful, vegan bowls of deliciousness. King CookDaily, thank you for continuing to feed

The Time is IMA
After a few glasses of wine at KEN’s, we ended up at IMA in Exmouth Market for a late-night bite. I, the vegan, suggested sushi, and my non-vegan friend happily agreed. The night was filled with vegan-friendly delights like Mapo tofu, kimchi gyoza, and a mixed leafy salad, but the real highlight was the umami-packed vegan dragon roll. Tofu, eggplant, mushrooms, avocado, and daikon came together in perfect harmony—every vegan's dream sushi moment!

Shoreditch Diaries: A Love Letter to MukBap
MukBap in Shoreditch offers a unique Korean-inspired menu that’s worth exploring. From savory kimchi pancakes and bibimbap to sweet potato noodles, each dish is a fusion of bold flavors. Even desserts feature kimchi, making it a place where every bite tells a story. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience the true essence of Korean cuisine in the heart of Shoreditch.

The Quest Is Over: The Croissant Is Found
I stumbled upon the buttery, slightly salty croissants at Third Culture Deli in Broadway Market, only to discover they were just the beginning. My next stop: OKJA, a vegan patisserie that arrived in London in 2024. With in-house-made plant-based milks, cultured cashew butter, and an ex-Michelin-star pastry chef at the helm, OKJA's croissants, swirls, and other treats redefine plant-based indulgence.

The Last Dumpling Standing
Tofu Vegan, with locations across London, is my go-to for all-day plant-based feasting. From midday dim sum to Sichuan-style fried noodles and unforgettable sauces, it's the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch, a late dinner, or anything in between.

Pockets: The Union of Fluffy Pita Bread and Crunchy Green Falafels

From market stalls to a permanent spot on Mentmore Terrace, Pockets has built a cult following around their perfectly layered falafel pitas, complete with a dreamy potato slice and a secret mango-based sauce.
